The World Agricultural Forum (WAF) is a policy neutral and internationally
inclusive agriculture forum that brings together the leaders from the private sector
with policy makers and key policy influencers to focus on providing food, fuel, fiber
and water to the world’s growing population.

The WAF believes that progress is best achieved when all contributors to
agriculturally
-based food, fuel and fiber understand change and are able to confer on its causes,
impact and implications.  The WAF seeks to create awareness and educate all
stakeholders as to the critical role agriculture plays in rural and economic
development, and ultimately, national security to most every economy in the world.
Developing countries and advocacy organizations are given an equal voice on the
world stage.

The WAF is the recognized global organization that brings world leaders together
from
across value chains and between public and private sectors and civil society to
promote a food secure world.

The WAF hosts a World Congress every 2 years

The next WAF World Congress is scheduled to be held in Andhra Pradesh, India in
2013.  The most recent Congress
was held in Brussels Belgium from the evening of
the 28th November until Thursday the
1st December 2011.
